Energy Efficiency & Conservation
The cheapest, cleanest energy is that which you don’t use. Energy efficiency is the fastest-growing, most abundant, and lowest-cost energy resource available in the United States today. Efficiency saves consumers money by lowering energy bills, reducing greenhouse emissions that contribute to global warming, and spurring local economic development with green, in-state jobs.
Communities can initiate a wide range of activities to help local residents, businesses, institutions, local governments, and schools reduce energy usage through efficiency and conservation.
