Moving Forward on Climate – Without Washington: A Reality Check with Senator Bernie Sanders
Moving Forward on Climate – Without Washington
A Reality Check with Senator Bernie Sanders
The Trump Administration has made clear its disdain for science and their intent to roll back our nation’s commitment to tackling global warming. It’s a sobering new reality (on this and many important issues). It also means we must redouble our efforts. The only question is, how?
Watch the recorded webinar with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders that took place on Wednesday, February 8 at 7 p.m. for ideas…
Hear what Bernie thinks a fossil fuel-favoring administration and a Congress dominated by climate deniers means for the world’s most pressing environmental challenge – and what we can do about it.
If you were not able to watch on Wednesday the webinar is on YouTube.
Senator Sanders was joined by Addison County State Senator Christopher Bray and a few of Vermont’s leading environmental advocates. Beyond the federal framework from Bernie, you’ll get an overview of the 2017 legislative outlook and some ideas on what you, as a concerned citizen, can do to continue forward momentum on climate change – in Vermont – and beyond.
It has become abundantly clear that global warming solutions, in the U.S., now rest with states and municipalities. New ways of collaboration and coordination are required to advance a job-creating clean energy economy and ensure a strong, strategic and just transition away from polluting fossil fuels.
