Our current projects are Vermont Community Energy Mobilization Project (with support from Efficiency Vermont and in partnership with energy committees of Shelburne, Jericho, and Underhill) To date, in Charlotte, 32 local volunteers have been trained to conduct free home visits designed to help residents learn about energy saving opportunities in their homes. Over the next two months (February and March 2010) volunteers will install free energy saving products (such as compact fluorescent lightbulbs and low-flow showerheads), identify inefficient use of energy in the home, and provide information resources available to help residents make further energy-efficiency improvements.
The Committee is also working on proposals to:
weatherize the Town Hall and retrocommission the HVAC
replace and upgrade the Town streetlights to LEDs
providing energy recommendations to the School Board as part of a consultation process on building renovations at the School.
